Cookie Policy
Effective 19 May 2026 · Privacy Policy · Terms of Service
This Cookie Policy explains how Job Application Tracker (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on jobapplicationtracker.co and related subdomains (the “Service”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as localStorage) work in comparable ways. They help keep you signed in, protect forms against abuse, and remember simple preferences.
2. Cookies we use
We keep cookie use minimal:
- Essential / strictly necessary cookies — required for the Service to work:
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in while you use the Service.
- CSRF / security cookie — protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery.
- Preference storage — your theme choice (light/dark) may be stored in browser
localStorage, not as a third-party cookie. This is set only after you choose a theme.
We do not currently set advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioural advertising cookies on the Service.
3. Third-party cookies
Payments are handled by our merchant of record / payment processor (see the Privacy Policy). When you open a checkout, that provider may set its own cookies on its domains under its own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control those cookies.
Infrastructure providers (for example CDN / DNS) may process technical request data for security and delivery; that is not the same as marketing cookies on our pages.
4. How long cookies last
- Session cookies typically expire when you close the browser or after a period of inactivity, according to our session configuration.
- Security cookies last for the duration needed to protect the active session.
- Theme preference in
localStorageremains until you clear site data or change the setting.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and form protection from working. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies (and optional theme storage you control), we do not show a non-essential marketing cookie banner under PECR / ePrivacy for the current setup.
If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required before setting them.
6. Do Not Track
There is no single industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We treat your browser cookie settings and any in-product preference controls as the authoritative expression of your choices.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
8. Contact
Questions about cookies: [email protected] or via the contact form.
